Claire Evans,

Yoga Teacher

Claire has had a life long interest in health and well-being and is a degree qualified nutritionist and yoga teacher. Claire worked for many years in the corporate world before a life changing diagnosis of breast cancer prompted Claire to change course in her career and work in service to others. Claire now combines work to support people affected by cancer and teaching yoga. If Claire has a message it is that everyone can benefit from yoga. Modern day stressors impact our quality of life and can lead to serious chronic disease however practicing yoga has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety and improve our sense of well-being. Yoga is not about being super flexible or looking like someone on an Instagram post, but rather is the connection between the mind, body and spirit, and when these are in sync, this is when the magic happens.

Erica Symonds, Yoga Teacher

Being a strong believer that yoga is for everybody, Erica encourages students to challenge themselves in their practice, whilst also listening to their bodies and being aware of their limits. Classes range from dynamic vinyasa and slow flow classes to grounding yin, finding room to be playful and inspiring self-inquiry.

Erica is new to Melbourne, having lived previously in London and Tokyo and is delighted and grateful to be part of the yoga community here at Soul Seed. Erica is RYT certified in hatha and vinyasa, as well as prenatal and postnatal yoga.

Carla Lewinsmith, Yoga Teacher

Carla found her way to Yoga through her exploration and dedication to Meditation and Mindfulness. These combined with her love and commitment to over 20 years of movement and dance, helped create the perfect union between mind, body, and soul as she lovingly landed on her yoga mat.

As a mother of two, and registered Meditation and Mindfulness, Children’s, and Adult’s Yoga teacher, Carla has experienced first-hand the difference these practices make to all lives and age groups.

Deeply inspired by yoga teachings rooted in philosophy, Carla draws inspiration and learnings from both the human experience and ancient texts, merging the two to encourage an exploration of the inner landscape whilst offering helpful tools for her students to take into the world.

Di Mizzi, Yoga Teacher

Di had practiced yoga for over 20 years ago as a form of fitness before truly connecting with the practice through prenatal classes. It was during lockdown that she started to dedicate the time to make a real commitment to her sadhana and soon discovered there is so much more beyond the physical practice. From there she completed her 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training so that she can share her learnings with others Di encourages her students to honour their bodies innate wisdom and move with kindness and consistency as they slowly build strength, embrace stillness achieve balance and calm in their soul and peace and joy in their hearts.

Yvette Clifford,

Yoga Teacher & Kids Programs

As a Yoga student for many years myself, Yvonne knows just how beneficial a regular Yoga practice can be -- not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally.  She found the physicality of a strong Vinyasa Yoga class was just what her body needed after long hours of sitting in front of a computer screen or racing around with her family. Yin Yoga and Meditation also allowed her the space to unwind and mentally relax.

Yvonne completed a 500-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teaching Diploma in 2015 and have since undertaken extensive additional training in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Children’s Yoga and Children’s Yoga Therapy.

She is a fully accredited Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher which has had a profound influence on her personally, and on her teaching. By incorporating these additional practices and techniques into her classes, Yvonne is better able to support and enhance her students’ wellbeing -- which is the very reason she stepped onto this path in the first place!
