Smudging Workshop & Sound Meditation with Danielle Steller

Do you know where your sage is from? Do you know the energy of those who farmed it or how it was cultivated? If we are truly looking to harness the cleansing benefits of our plant allies, these are the questions we need to know the answers to, otherwise who knows what energy we are bringing into, and burning, as part of sacred ritual.

A 2 hour journey, this Smudging workshop is a passing on of sacred Indigenous teachings. Danielle, with permission as an adopted member of the Tsleil-Waututh nation, will explain to us how we can respect our plant allies, while maintaining our spiritual health, from harvest to burning.

Japa Meditation with Maxine Yeates. Includes set of Mala Beads

‘Japa meditation has been my daily practice for as long as I can remember. When my mind is very busy and chaotic it gives me clarity and focus. When I am distracted it keeps me present. When I am anxious it keeps me grounded.’ - Maxine Yeates

Most of our minds are filled with stress and chaos. We often think of this as normal however we often do not know how to handle such busyness. Meditation is a powerful tool to tame the monkey mind and Japa meditation in particular can be really helpful for those whose struggle to sit. Using a set of mala beads and mantra, this form of meditation is great for anyone seeking to bring a little stillness in to their day to day.

Max is super thrilled to be sharing her practice of Japa Meditation in this informative and interactive workshop.
